GUNJUR VDC SELECTS A NEW EXECUTIVE
Gunjur village development committee recently selected a new executive specifically tasked with the responsibility of bringing together youths of the community.
The chairman of the committee Abdourahman K Touray assured Gunjur folks of his commitment and further stated that the committee’s first and foremost objective is to fill up holes on the roads, which serve as fertile breeding grounds for mosquitoes. He affirmed his belief that the malaria infection rate could take a significant retreat if all the youths come out in force to protect themselves and their family members from mosquitoes.
Also among the speakers was the village Alkalo Alhagi Sabaki Touray who entreated the youths to respect elders and consult them on what ever they have in mind.
During the meeting, unity became a recurring theme as speaker after speaker urged the gathered youths to be united in their endeavours.
