Aid for Bongo-Bongo Land
There seems to be a mood in the UK
to question the amount of aid that is sent to developing
countries. An extreme example is a British politician talking
about 'Bongo-Bongo Land' where aid is supposedly used to buy
"Ray-Ban sunglasses, apartments in Paris, Ferraris..." As we
know at Pageant, the truth is very different, Please read

yesterday's Guardian newspaper which tells what really happens.
Perhaps you would like to help Pageant with our work in The Gambia. We are packing a container with school furniture, books, equipment etc. on Friday 23rd August,
between 9am and 1pm. If you are free on that day, we would be
grateful for any help you can give us.
